more about me
I was born in Austin, raised in Buda, and have lived in Central Texas all my life. I married my high school sweetheart (had my eye on him from age 6 on really) and I couldn’t imagine fumbling through life with anyone else.
After quitting a job for one that was supposed to be the beginning of something better and then quitting that new job on day one, I’ve spent the last few years really trying to get to the root of who I am and what I want to be when I grow up. I don’t have it all figured out by any stretch of the imagination, but what I do know is I like to create and express/find myself through the things I create.
I’m a mom so for me (as much as I love the heck out of my kids and simply couldn’t imagine life without them) that means I forgot about who I was for a little bit. Soul sucking jobs do that too (I think I just insinuated kids are soul sucking, but let me clarify that’s not at all how I feel even if they are emotionally draining sometimes). I’m enjoying tapping back into who I am though and allowing myself the space to reclaim an older version of myself mixed with this newer version of myself.
I’m blogging for lots of reasons, but mainly because I’m an introvert who actually genuinely enjoys sharing. I don’t need to make the biggest impact in all the world, but it’s pretty cool if even just one person finds value in what I’m doing.
Expect to find things on my blog about simplifying life / essential oils (we’re trying), travel with (and maybe sometimes without) kids, RV camping, photography (because that’s my jam), and just more of me finding me. Glad you’re here.
